One Research fellowship, for a Master is open at the Faculdade of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, for the project “S-LoTTuSS Scalable Low-cost Tandem Tunnel junctions for Silicon Solar”.


Scientific Area: Physics or Chemistry or Materials Science

Requirements for admission: Master in Sciences (MSc) or equivalent.

Factors preferred: a) Master degree dissertation/project was lab based development of materials. b) Post degree experience working in scientific research labs.

Work plan:
Month 1: Exhaustive bibliography review of laser doping and tandem solar cells.
Month 2 to 12: Laser doping of Si wafers.
Month 2 to 11 Electrical and physical characterization of Si tunnel junctions.
Month 12: Detailed reports of bibliography review and experimental procedures.

Fellowship duration: This position is initially opened for 6 months and will begin on February 2019. The fellowship contract may be renewed to more 6 months, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation of Research Fellowships from the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P.

Monthly allowance: The fellowship amounts to € 989,70.
