University College of Southeast Norway (USN) is a public university located in the Oslofjord area, comprising of 8 campus and currently 18 000 students. The official web page is http://www.usn.no.
A PhD candidate position is available at the Vestfold campus of USN, focusing on 2-D materials enhanced organic photodetectors in the PhD program Applied Micro and nano system technology. The relevant keywords are: 2D materials; graphene; organic photodetector; high mobility; high sensitivity. The research work is focusing on design, characterization and testing of new opto-electronic devices for biomedical aplications.
(1) Annual Salary for this position is around NOK 470 000 per year before tax (around 26 000 – 27 000 NOK per month after tax).
(2) Study and working period: 3 years.

(4) Fundamental requirements are as below,
• The candidate should have background related to biomedical electronics, microelectronics, micro-electro-mechanical systems, applied physics or chemistry, etc.
• The candidate should have a master degree, with the average score B or above (ECTS system) during master period (15/16 or above in Portuguese classification system) including B or above in master`s thesis, and average C (or above) during bachelor period.
• The candidate should be diligent and of team spirit.
• The candidate who have international publication would have priority.

Salary:
The position is placed in the state salary scale 50 (code 1017), NOK 470 000 per year. Further promotion will be based on service in the position. A statutory contribution will be made from the employee’s salary to the state pension plan.
