Abstract

The thesis will be conducted in the LIRIS laboratory within the research project MétaÉducation funded by the "Investissements d'Avenir" (e-Education). The project is carried by the ITOP Education company in collaboration with the LIRIS laboratory, the Institute of Research and Innovation of Centre Pompidou (IRI), and the Erdenet and Vodkaster companies. The MétaÉducation project aims to provide a Learning Management System (LMS) with tools for acquisition, editing, management and collaborative enrichment (annotations) of transmedia documents (text, image, video, mental map). This learning environment will support the emergence of new teaching and learning practices within teachers and learners.

The thesis aims at proposing generic models and tools for observing the engagement and the regulation practices of the different actors within the LMS. The first issue of the thesis is then to define generic indicators related both to the engagement of learners and teachers and the way they regulate the activities that emerge from the construction, the annotation and the sharing of transmedia documents. The second issue is to use these indicators to provide learners with reflective tools that help them regulate their individual and collective activities; as well as teachers with monitoring tools that help them guide learners and develop new educational practices.
