Post-doctoral fellowship program at INL - NanoTRAINForGrowth
http://inl.int/job_offers#tab-research-fellows
"The International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) is launching a second call within its post-doctoral fellowship program – The NanoTRAINforGrowth Program.
INL´s international Post-doctoral fellowship program allows for experienced researchers (from all over the world and of all nationalities) to sketch out a research project and work on their own research idea at INL´s facilities. Fellows will have access to new state‐of‐the‐art infrastructure and will have the opportunity to enhance their expertise via a research project, in a scientific topic of their choice, which are within INL´s strategic research and technological development areas:
• Nanomedicine: molecular diagnostics systems and chips, cell therapies, imaging solutions, drug delivery systems, biomolecular labels, neuro-electronics, etc.
• Environmental and food control: Nanotechnology applied to food industry, food safety and environmental control. Water and soil control, air pollution monitoring. Artificial nanopore sensors, lab-on-a-chip technologies, smart packaging and labels, food control processes, biosensing technologies.
• Nanoelectronics: NEMS/MEMS, spintronics, photonics, nanofluidics, carbon-based devices (graphene, CNTs), molecular electronics, nanotechnologies to support the above research areas.
• Nanomanipulation: Single molecule/atom manipulation, molecular motors, nanotweezers, controlled self-assemby of building blocks for nanodevices.
INL´s NanoTRAINforGrowth Fellowship Program will fund experienced researchers that meet the following requirements:
• Possession of a PhD degree and with less than 10 years of full-time research experience (including the time taken to acquire the PhD).
• INL being an organization with an international legal status, applicants may originate from any country inside or outside Europe.
• The appointed researcher must not have spent more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline for submission of proposals working at INL, under a post-doc position.
For administrative reasons, the applications will be classified under the following four major scientific panels:
Nanomedicine.
Food security & environment control.
Nanoelectronics.
Nanomanipulation.
The applicant must apply by choosing one of the above scientific Panels in the application form. It is mandatory that potential applicants read the guide for applicants (http://inl.int/files/assets/0000/3920/A ... d_call.pdf) and template for the research proposal (http://inl.int/files/assets/0000/3921/A ... _call.docx).
Note that there is no predefined budget allocation among the panels. The budget will be distributed over the panels based on the proportion of eligible applications above the threshold received in each panel.
Selected candidates will be offered a position for 2 years.
DEADLINE: 17-11-2013 (23:00 Lisbon time)
In view of the large number of applications, we regret to inform that only successful candidates will be contacted.
This fellowship program - NanoTRAINForGrowth - is co-financed by the European Union through the Marie Curie Action "Co-funding of regional, national and international programs (COFUND)". Therefore each selected applicant will be a Marie Curie fellow as well as a NanoTRAINForGrowth fellow.
Individual researchers (applicants) cannot benefit at the same time from more than one Marie Curie Action; these are: Initial Training Networks (ITN); Intra-European Fellowships for career development (IEF); International Outgoing Fellowships for career development (IOF); International Incoming Fellowships (IIF); Career Integration Grants (CIG); Industry-Academia Partnerships and Pathways (IAPP); International Research Staff Exchange Scheme (IRSES); Co-funding of regional, national and international programs (COFUND)."
