The  Molecular Modelling and Simulation group ( http://193.137.89.89 ) warmly welcomes
spontaneous research applications  for Master degree, PhD  and Post-Doctoral researchers. PhD and Post-Doctoral candidates are invited to apply for funding to the “Fundação para Ciência e Tecnologia”.

Research areas

Our laboratory is specialized in computational
chemistry/biochemistry/biology, structural bioinformatics, molecular
modelling and simulation using physical-based methodologies. We have
several active research lines (read about our research lines: http://193.137.89.89/?cat=4 ), and we are seeking highly motivated and talented researchers to work in the following areas:

   * Small-molecule computer-aided drug design
   * Peptide/protein engineering
   * Force field development
   * Chemical and biochemical structural bioinformatics
   * Structural biology
   * Ionic liquid modelling and simulation
   * Polymer modelling and simulation
   * Quantum mechanics simulations
   * Programing (GPU/CUDA, distributed computing)
   * Molecular modelling and simulation methodology development

Application deadlines

Master research students: No deadlines, open all year.
