The Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Laboratory (LIACC)
(http://www.liacc.up.pt) Porto-Portugal, offers one postdoctoral
research position in the fields of Computational Complexity
or Cryptography.
Applicants should have research experience in a relevant area, such as
Computer Science, Mathematics or Electrical Engineering. Candidates
should have a high quality research record, know-how and research
experience in computational complexity, Kolmogorov complexity or
cryptography. The successful candidate is expected to carry out research
in these fundamental disciplines.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary in accordance
with the Portuguese university regulations for a researcher. The
contract offered will have duration of up to 5 years, renewed yearly
based on mutual agreement. The annual gross income will be 3,038.06
Euros x 14 months (approximately 55K USD). Taxes will be deduced
according to the national law. Yearly upgrades to correct for inflation
will be calculated according to the national rules.
