The successful applicant will utilize state-of-art technologies (i.e. established in vitro human cell-culture model systems, microarray, confocal microscopy, real-time PCR) to address important questions concerning, toxicology, absorption, uptake, endocytosis, recycling, endosomal escape and transport of nanoparticles across the barriers. The project is part of a larger EU Integrated Project: Nanoscale Functionalities for Targeted Drug Delivery of Biopharmaceutics.
Applicants with a Ph.D. or equivalent, strong background in cell and molecular biology and good spoken and written English skills are encouraged to apply.
Current curriculum vitae, a brief statement describing prior research and future research goals, and three letters of recommendation (all required before interview) should be sent to: Dr. Silvia Tschauder, Institute of Pathology, University of Mainz, Langenbeckstr. 1 55101 Mainz, Germany (e-mail:tschaude@uni-mainz.de)
