Protein Chemist

Lampire Biological Laboratories, Inc. located in Bucks County, PA, has been producing antibodies for 28 years and is currently seeking a Protein Chemist. The candidate should have a Ph.D in Analytical Chemistry, BioChemistry or BioOrganic Chemistry. Extensive knowledge in protein purification, specifically monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies, is essential. Conjugation chemistries involving enzyme coupling, peptide coupling, and hapten coupling to antibodies or carriers and the ability to characterize these conjugate is also essential. Knowledge of cGMPs and protein scale up method development is useful as well. Good management skills in supervision, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and computer skills are needed. The ability to multi task and set up reasonable schedules for delivery dates is also a plus. Monoclonal Antibody Scientist

The candidate should possess a Masters in Immunology or a related field, know how to perform ELISAs and Western Blots, have performed cell culture with multiple cell types including hybridomas, performed fusions and developed monoclonal antibodies. Knowledge of the cGMPs as well as antigen / peptide sequence analysis a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and computer skills are needed. The ability to multi task and provide reasonable schedules for delivery dates is also a plus.
