Reinforcing competencies Ref: UMC2015
With over 20 years of existence, the Computer Graphics Center (CCG - www.ccg.pt) dedicates its activity to applied research and development in the fields of information technology, communication and electronics, as well as their applications, in national and international context.
In CCG, we believe in the economic value of the knowledge as a means to a better society. In this sense, we operate independently or networked, positioning ourselves as an interface between academia and the economy, based on strategic partnerships, through projects and services as a means of knowledge transfer.
CCG aims to select for its staff a 'Manager of Research, Development and Innovation Projects". Reporting directly to the Applied Research Domain Coordinator, will have the following responsibilities:
• Ensure the technical implementation of the projects, monitoring of the quality of outputs produced and managing the team;
• Report project’ status to other roles;
• Design and develop solutions / processes / outputs provided for the projects that he is engaged.
• Support Coordinator to identify potential opportunities for Applied Research Domain.
REQUIREMENTS:
• PhD in the areas of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications / Network Engineering (eventually Informatics Engineering).
• Experience in areas such as sensors, sensor networks, and wireless and mobile networks, Smart Lighting, Smart Metering, Smart Parking, Smart X as well as in environmental monitoring and mobility in urban areas;
• Base education in Electrical Engineering, or similar;
• Experience in planning and managing research and technological development projects;
• Publications in the defined domains;
• Fluent in English.
