We are glad to inform you that a
PhD position is
available in out lab at the
University of Vienna (Department of
Biomolecular Structural Chemistry;
http://www.mfpl.ac.at/index.php?cid=58).
A competitive salary can be offered (25-28 KEuro/year) for 30 months to
determine and analyze the three-dimensional structure of a mitochondrial
membrane proteins (and/or its isolated N-terminal domain) that transport
magnesium(II).
Our lab is fully equipped with all crystallographic, biochemical, and
molecular biology facilities and performs also structural bioinformatics
studies. It is located within the Campus-Vienna-Biocenter where other
structural biology techniques are also available (NMR, EM) and where about
1000 scientists from more than 50 different Countries are active in many
molecular biology fields.
The PhD project is strictly interfaced with other groups studying the
molecular and cellular biology of the same magnesium transporter as well
as its biophysical properties.
The PhD position is available immediately. If you are interested, please
reply to this e-mail as soon as possible.
