Yes, FCT will confirm the renewal of your grant.
They will send you an email.
How long, it's not that simple. If you sent the renewal request before the deadline that they mention - 2 months before the end of the grant period for first renewals of BD or BPD - they will probably tell you something about 1 month before the end of the grant period. If later, usually within 1 month or so, and possibly 2 (so it's possible that you don't receive for 1 month if you got late, which will be paid together with the following month).
