Eric Schmidt & Jared Cohen were respectively the Chairman of Google and the Director of Google Ideas when they wrote a book in 2014 https://www.amazon.com/New-Digital-Age- ... 030794705X
This book contains several interesting issues but one, in particular, is related to the emails below. They look on the potential of radicalization of youth that they say constitute a huge group of several hundred million people that can easily be radicalized because they live in "risk conditions". And the best proof that Europe already knows very well was the high number of young Europeans that have gone to Syria to join the Islamic State-ISIS. Tamar Mitts of Coumbia University recently authored a paper on that issue

All put together i do believe that the almost scientific certainty as Skidmore, Owings & Merrill-SOM predicted that by 2050 cities will have 70% of world population is as good as throwing dice. Another interesting hypothesis is the following: What if a new "eco-religion" comes along that puts those who are ruining our Planet, especially billionaires, as the new demons that need to be killed? How can that narrative be tackled?

Still following the emails below especially the one concerning the "idyllic vision" of the famous Skidmore, Owings & Merrill-SOM (that forgets terrorism actions will be greatly amplified in those cities) see how the Interpol speaks about the influence of the Darknet to ease bioterror attacks https://www.interpol.int/fr/Infractions ... oterrorism and at the same time look to an interesting article at the Think Tank "Council of Foreign Relations" about a world in which antibiotics no longer work https://www.cfr.org/backgrounder/end-antibiotics

Still following the email below concerning the poor forecasting prediction of a USA top architectural corporation its worth seeing the recent 58 page report "The Future of Urban Warfare in the Age of Megacities" https://www.ifri.org/en/publications/et ... megacities
Also interesting is the recent paper in the link https://arxiv.org/abs/1904.04148 entitled "Common Statistical Patterns in Urban Terrorism"

This month the National Geographic magazine is dedicated to the future of cities. Among many interesting things, it contains a very naive "idyllic vision" of the famous Skidmore, Owings & Merrill-SOM. https://www.som.com/ideas

Also interesting is the prediction that by 2050 cities will have 70% of world population like it is a "scientific certainty" and that nothing in the next 31 years can change it like for instance the issue mentioned below.

And the author in the link above have not even mentioned the consequences of the rising of anti-vaccine movements https://edition.cnn.com/2019/03/06/heal ... index.html

which mean fanatics do not even would need to acquire toxins like Ebola or Anthrax but instead one just like Variola. No wonder then that Bill Gates said that bioterrorism could kill more people than nuclear attacks.

On the issue of urbanization see the interesting article with dynamic images https://ourworldindata.org/urbanization
