Assistant Professor in Molecular Biosciences, position number 84114, UHM C of Trop Agr & Human Res, (Manoa), Molecular Biosciences & Bioengineering, 9-month appointment, tenure track, to begin January 1, 2007. Duties: Establish a competitive research program that integrates biochemistry with other branches of molecular biosciences; develop research leading to economic development or sustained environmental quality or bioremediation in the state. Teach an undergraduate course in biochemistry regularly and a graduate level course in alternate years. Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Biochemistry or closely related area, proven publication record and convincing potential to garner extramural funds. Desirable qualifications: Two (2) years of postdoctoral training, potential to develop a highly competitive research program; demonstrated experience in teaching; and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others.
